A man has been sentenced to five years of prison after being arrested by police for illegally selling fake Viagra.
The man, who was named as Adam Tiefer, 59, was arrested at the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office's (OCS) offices on Monday and was released on his own recognuntary stay at his home in Ontario, the court documents said.
The court documents indicated that on Friday, April 5, 2011, Tiefer was arrested by police for illegally selling prescription drugs, including the erectile dysfunction drug, Viagra. He was also arrested by Ontario police on Thursday, April 12, 2011, while he was being held on bail.
The court documents stated that on March 19, 2011, Tiefer was arrested by police and arrested on charges of possession of misbranded and unbranded drugs, possession of Schedule II controlled substances, possession of drugs with intent to supply, and possession of drugs with intent to supply.
The court documents further stated that Tiefer's name was on the packaging for the tablets. Tiefer also sold a prescription medication for Viagra and a fake prescription medication for Cialis.
The court documents indicated that Tiefer's home was located in the same location as the alleged drugs. Tiefer was arrested and taken to his home.
